Almae Matris Alumni
|
|
The Association works as a
network and meeting point for all the former students of all Masters
Programmes organised by the University of Bologna under
the coordination of the Fondazione Alma Mater.
The Association Almae Matris Alumni
has officially been established at the beginning of the Nine Hundred and
Twentieth Academic Year of the University of Bologna.
The new offices of the Association are located at the Fondazione Alma Mater, in the prestigious
Sixteenth Century Residence Villa Gandolfi Pallavicini, obviously in Bologna. One info-point of the Association
is located within the antique University headquarters, in Via Zamboni 32.
The onorary President of the Association Almae Matris Alumni is
the University Rector. The first and foremost institutional scope of the
Association is the promotion of the relationships among the
Alma Mater Studiorum graduates e between them and
the University.
The Association aims at promoting the cultural specificities of the University of Bologna
graduates and at build a new esprit–de–corp to help th eformer university students to promote and support all
University initiatives.
This way, the University of Bologna aims at owning and improving the
experiences of the Alumni Associations of the anglo–saxon world, according to the directions illustrated at
the 2007 Convention 2007 by Neil Stevenson of the University of Cambridge.

The
Association will have several events and initiatives during the year 2008. First, we’ll have a Party for the Twenty-fifth anniversary of
graduation. Second, a series of Five lecture–shows
is now being organosed with exceptional speakers,
which will be held at the Theater Arena del Sole
between January and May 2008.
